Navraswadi Lift Irrigation Scheme is a co-operative lift scheme owned by the Vasantadada Sugar Factory in Sangli and is almost 50 years old. Under the scheme, the water is lifted form the river source and stored in a tank for distribution to the fields of beneficiary farmers.
The project involved around 300 farmers, so the real challenge was to make all of them aware of the benefits of drip irrigation technology in sugarcane cropping and persuade them to get on board. Up for the challenge, the Rivulis team educated each and every farmer about Rivulis, and our trained sales team went above and beyond in convincing each farmer, as well as providing continuous technical support pre- and post-sale.
In addition to designing and installing the system for 121ha, we not only suggested the pumps, we supplied the pumps along with electric panel which we installed into the pump house, together with automatic filters and controllers.
Despite obstacles like COVID and unfavourable weather conditions like heavy rain, the system was completed on time and on budget.
